How it works

Not just free advice — a plan you'll actually finish.

On site · Before the season

An assessor walks the property.

Not a checklist filled out alone at the kitchen table — someone on site, looking at your specific vulnerabilities.

Personalised · Yours to keep

A written plan you keep.

General guidance turned into specific, motivating next steps for your own property, your own family, your own business.

After the event · For insurers

Documentation that helps.

A record of your pre-storm condition, which can materially help an insurance claim if the worst happens.

Four tiers · one standard

Clear pricing.
Plans that scale with you.

From a single home to a whole organisation — every walkthrough ends with a written, practical plan you keep.

Is this a building or structural inspection?

No. WeatherReady QLD provides advisory, preparedness-focused guidance only — it isn’t a licensed building or structural inspection.

How is this different from free government advice?

Get Ready Queensland and the SES tell you what to do. We walk your property and turn that advice into a specific, written plan for your place.

Where do you work?

Based in Cairns, working with households and businesses across Far North Queensland.

How much does it cost?

Home Ready is $249 for one household. Property Ready is $399 for rental and holiday homes, Small Business Ready starts from $750, and Enterprise Ready is quoted to suit.

When should I book?

Before the season. Queensland’s cyclone season runs from 1 November to 30 April, and walkthroughs book out once a system forms in the Coral Sea.
